Weaning is the most stressful period of the whole production cycle. The piglet faces big changes to its environment, pen mates and diet. Weaning occurs much earlier than it would typically in nature, at a time when the gastrointestinal tract is still developing. Offering a highly digestible diet and establishing good levels of feed intake are the keys to optimizing piglet performance.
