BIOMIN booth in Poultry India Expo witnesses increased footfall

The BIOMIN booth in Poultry India 2018, an international exhibition for the poultry industry, was buzzing with activity this year and continued to attract considerable footfall.

20 December 2018 – Innovative animal nutrition company BIOMIN showed a strong presence at the three-day Poultry India 2018 international expo. The expo provided an excellent opportunity for customers to meet BIOMIN experts at the booth and receive advice on how to manage mycotoxin risk and improve gut health. The BIOMIN team put customers and visitors in contact with the appropriate experts and explained more about the different product lines.

The poultry industry in India continues to grow as more consumers look to eggs and chicken meat as dietary protein sources. According to Lesley Nernberg, BIOMIN Asia-Pacific Technical Services Manager – Animal Nutrition, customers are becoming more aware of the threat of mycotoxins to poultry production.

“We have received many inquiries about Mycofix®, our mycotoxin risk management product line. After the recent BIOMIN Mycotoxin Academy, we had many follow-up guests and they were able to share their success stories about using BIOMIN Mycofix® range in their poultry feeding programs,” he observed.

BIOMIN's nutrition expert was available at the expo for three full days (November 28–30) and answered many questions related to poultry nutrient requirements, discussed opportunities for alternative feed ingredients, and how to best characterize feedstuffs for use in poultry diets.

Gangga Widyanugraha, BIOMIN Asia-Pacific Technical Sales Manager – Poultry, pointed out that the BIOMIN booth at this year’s Poultry India expo was probably the busiest, compared to previous years. “All of us were kept busy by the positive response from visitors, which is a great sign. It shows how well recognized and accepted BIOMIN is in the poultry industry in India,” he added.

Alongside the technical experts, Marc Guinnement (Managing Director, BIOMIN Asia Pacific) and Sujit Kulkarni (Managing Director, BIOMIN India) mingled with visitors at the booth, welcoming existing and potential customers from across India, and even from Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. An air of excitement surrounded this year’s show, as many poultry producers are looking for opportunities to expand and capitalize on this growth, i.e. a profitable market for eggs and chicken meat.

Antibiotic use in the feed and food industries is being scrutinized, so there were many questions on this subject and opportunities to discuss BIOMIN's gut performance products, which include Biotronic® acidifier, Digestarom® DC phytogenic, and PoultryStar® probiotic.

Edward Manchester, Regional Director, BIOMIN Asia-Pacific, emphasised that the essential factor in BIOMIN's growth in India is the company's strong team of dedicated and customer-oriented people.

It is interesting to note that BIOMIN welcomed four new team members to its India operations in November-December: Mahesh Reddy, Abhijit Sil and Karthik Palaniyappan as Technical Sales Executives, and Jeyabalaji Durairaj as Data Analyst.
