We’ll be discussing how to successfully implement on-site mycotoxin monitoring, and recent trends in mycotoxin occurrence worldwide.

Who should attend?
Our previous webinar on mycotoxins attracted considerable interest from agribusiness professionals from across the world who are involved in feed and livestock production, including poultry, swine, ruminants and aquaculture sectors. Veterinarians, nutritionists, sales managers, quality assurance & quality control managers, live production managers, academics, researchers, business owners, directors, consultants, scientists and students were all represented.

Blast from the past
We held a similar mycotoxins webinar back in March 2016, and the response was tremendous. 99% of attendees said that they would attend another BIOMIN – Romer Labs webinar in the future.
You can view last year’s recording here. The interactive webinar was a great opportunity to exchange ideas—and our mycotoxin experts fielded tons of questions from participants.
The industry encounters mycotoxins
In addition, we learned from the audience through a set of audience poll questions. In March, 60% of webinar participants said that they had encountered a problem with mycotoxins in the past 12 months.
We asked a similar question to attendees of the World Nutrition Forum in October 2016, where 83% of delegates in Vancouver reported having had a mycotoxin problem at some point in the past 3 years. Clearly, many agribusiness professionals recognize that mycotoxins pose a challenge to livestock production.
Recently, Romer Labs extended its AgraStrip® WATEX product line to include a water-based fumonisins test kit. They offer a fast, simple and eco-friendly solution for on-site mycotoxin testing for aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2), deoxynivalenol, zerealenone and fumonisins (B1, B2, B3). We’re looking forward to hearing Philipp Gruber’s insights on rapid on-site mycotoxin monitoring, along with how to handle common testing challenges in the field.
